The Makino BX3 machine is purpose-built for the EDM Drilling demands of high volume production applications of cooling film hole features that are found in Blade and Vane turbine engine components. The BX3 machine, while similar to the EDBV3 model, represents further specialization for the higher part production volumes of small Aero-Engine part details. The design focus of the BX3 is cycle time reduction, with an emphasis on removing as much non-value-added motion or parasitic processing time as possible.
