Lean Manufacturing System is a large, multi-purpose gantry machine offering the first “lean machining” process for wind turbine hubs and other large components such as gear boxes, upper/lower plates, main bearing housings and nacelles. With a MASTERWIND Center, wind turbine manufacturers can completely machine, in a single setup, even the largest, most complex hubs with speed and throughput that would be impossible with multiple machines and setups. For example, the hub of a typical 2.5MW turbine weighing 20,000 lbs. can be produced in just 8 hours; and just 20 hours for a 5 MW hub weighing 40 tons.
